Somewhere in Latinamerica, the dictatorship has been over for 15 years… Paulina and Gerardo live in an isolated house near the beach. On a stormy night, Gerardo gets a flat tire and is driven home by a stranger who helps him on the road; Roberto Miranda. Paulina recognizes the man’s voice, it’s the same voice of who once was her kidnapper during the dictatorship. She will use this coincidence, despite her husband ‘s doubts, to seek vengeance, get a confession from him, and a reason to kill him or spare his life. Death and the Maiden is a composition by Franz Shubert, the very one the torturer listened to while abusing Paulina.
