The Human Voice, whose original title in French is La Voix Humaine, is a lyric tragedy in one act that tells the story of “Elle”, a woman struggling with her lover on the other side of the phone, who is leaving her for another woman. It is an intense opera that takes us through a 60 minute roller coaster ride of human emotions, where the constant dramatical tension is expressed throughout Poulenc’s musical geniality. And in which we can feel the deep suffering that the human being is capable of experiencing when being rejected by love.
The touring season of this show was produced with the support of EFIMÚSICA.
